Qingdao is situated in southeastern part of China and is an important economic centre of the Shandong Province.

Area – 10,000 sq.km

Population  – 2.7 million people.

The city was founded in 1891. In years 1897 – 1914 Qingdao was the German colony, afterwards it was occupied by Japan. In 1949 it became part of the People Republic of China.

Qingdao is a large economic centre of China, one of five largest country’s ports of foreign trade.
